The sun was shining and our students were beaming with joy at Cornell Law School’s 2024 Convocation ceremony this past weekend! The ceremony took place on Saturday, May 11, at Bartels Hall, and had over 300 students graduating from the J.D., LL.M. J.S.D., and M.S.L.S. programs!
Presiding over the ceremony was Jens David Ohlin, Allan R. Tessler Dean and Professor of Law, with student addresses from J.D. student Merrick Black and LL.M. student Yiang Zhu, as well as a faculty address by Professor Maggie Gardner. Chantal Thomas, Vice Dean and Radice Family Professor of Law, was responsible for the recognition of each graduate.
Families and friends traveled from all over the world to come and support the graduates; lots of laughs were had and tears were shed as each student took that next step in becoming a lawyer in the best sense! A reception was held for students and their families at the Law School in the Myron Taylor Hall Courtyard directly after Convocation.
Congratulations once again to our 2024 CLS graduates! We cannot wait to watch you grow into your professional careers in the years to come as you go out into the world to continue the legacy of Cornell Law School—by doing the greatest good!
