Biography
Ed Estrada is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cornell Tech. Following 25 years in private practice, serving as a law firm leader and advising two global chairs during his last 15 years in law firm management, Ed founded Estrada Legal Consulting to work with law firm management teams to improve business performance. While working at local, national and global law firms Ed served in numerous management and leadership roles, including global head of business strategy, chair of a global financial industry group, leading U.S. litigation for a global law firm, serving as New York office managing partner, as well as terms on the executive committee of a global law firm. Ed's practice focused on bankruptcy and cross-border restructuring and litigation.
Ed also currently serves as an independent director on the boards of CION Investment Corporation (NYSE:CION) and The Leon Lowenstein Foundation. He also serves on the Advisory Board of LegalMation, a leader in litigation automation and data analytics.
Ed is personally committed to furthering equality, diversity and inclusion within the legal profession, and works with several non-profits working to provide access to education (Executive Board - Global Business Coalition for Education); skills-based training (YearUp); and support for students who are the first generation of their families to attend college. He was named as one of EmpowerLegal's Top 100 "2020 Ethnic Minority Role Models."
Ed received his B.A., from the Cornell University College of Arts and Sciences, and his J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law. Ed also attended Harvard Law School's Executive Education Programs - Leadership in Law Firms and Sector Leadership Masterclass.
