3+3 Pathway

• Only Cornell University, Hobart William Smith Colleges, and St. Lawrence University undergraduates are eligible to participate in this program

• Applicants are required to have completed at least 108 credits and no more than 119 credits of their undergraduate program before starting at the law school.
• All major and school requirements must be completed before the start of the J.D. coursework. Applicants must consult their academic advisor in their department to verify they on track to meet their requirements.
• Hobart William Smith Colleges and St. Lawrence University undergraduates require the LSAT or GRE.
• Cornell undergraduates must apply with their ACT or SAT exam score (and meet the minimum requirement of scoring in the 85^th percentile) in lieu of an LSAT or GRE score.
• Ranked in the top 10 percent of their class or achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher after their junior year (six semesters).
• Must demonstrate excellent analytical writing skills, professional motivation, and maturity to show they are ready for law school.

• Undergraduate transcripts through their junior year of study (Spring grades must be sent to LSAC as soon as they are available in order to receive a final decision as soon as possible)

• Applications accepted during the junior year of undergraduate study
• The J.D. application opens September 1 with a priority deadline of March 1 (strongly recommended) and final application deadline of July 1.
• It is suggested, for optimal results, to apply by approximately January 15.
• Decisions will not be rendered until junior fall semester grades are reported to the law school.
• Transcripts showing junior spring semester grades are due by July 1.  Admissions offers are conditional pending a final review of these transcripts.

• The application fee is waived for 3+3 Pathway applicants*
• Saves a year of study by combining both degrees
• The LSAT requirement is waived when applying with an ACT or SAT score for Cornell students
