Dear colleagues, I am pleased to send you the schedule for sessions that our CRN4 and IRC42 are sponsoring or cosponsoring at the upcoming Global Law and Society meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, July 13-16. It’s a full schedule with some very exciting sessions about juries, lay judges, and other forms of lay participation around the world.
I want to flag in particular the Business Meeting of our group, where the Governor of the province of Chaco, Argentina, Jorge Milton Capitanich, will be speaking to us about the ground-breaking introduction of both criminal and civil juries in his province. If you’re attending the Lisbon meeting, please put the Business Meeting on your calendar: July 14, Thursday, 10:15 am – 12 noon. It’s a great way to connect with others doing research on related topics.
We are in the process of organizing a group dinner and once the time and location are finalized, we will send around another note.
Valerie Hans, Mar Jimeno Bulnes, Shari Seidman Diamond, Sanja Kutnjak Ivković, Nancy Marder, and Mary Rose (CRN/IRC organizers, Lisbon meeting)
